For my Computer Graphic's final project I set out to create a meditative sculpture garden. I have always appreciated the magical worlds created by video game designers. This project allowed me to experiment with the underlying algorithms used to generate these environments. I employed L systems to generate both natural and abstract sculptures. The marble textures were procedurally generated using different applications of perlin noise. I used photoshop to combine two scavenged textures to create the grass and cobblestone path. I combined both the albedo and normal maps. The project was written in C++.
Upon finishing the class, Professor Bo Zhu awarded me a citation for meritorious performance that read:"James is one of the best students who is leading the momentum of study in the class. He is always willing to help others. His talents in computer graphics are clearly demonstrated in his outstanding final project"
